For months, we have worked with our manufacturing partner to get the OpenCase iPhone 17 MagSafe cases ready for today. As I write this, the molds are getting loaded and the new cases are spitting out of machines. And they are available for preorder right now! If everything goes according to plan, they will ship to you in the next 2-3 weeks.

Will My MagSafe Accessories Work with the OpenCase iPhone 17 Cases?
Over the last month, we've had a lot of OpenCasers ask, "Will the accessories I used with my OpenCase MagSafe Case for iPhone 14/15/16 work with the new 17 cases?"
Will the New Cases Have a Cutout or a Sapphire Camera Control Button?
While we missed out on the sapphire camera control button with the iPhone 16, I'm happy to report that the OpenCase iPhone 17 cases will have it! See photo above.
I remember right after the 16 launched, Apple launched with some Beats phone cases that had that button. They were the first and only cases with this smooth looking and operating addition.
It took a while, but other cases and manufacturers slowly started adding it to their cases as well. It's something we wanted to offer as well. But as a small start-up that had already purchased all the iPhone 16 cases we needed, we knew unless we had a crazy viral moment that sold out all our inventory and allowed us to reorder, this was something that would probably have to wait until the 17's hit the streets.
After working with our manufacturer, the new sapphire camera control button looks great, smoothly integrates into the iPhone 17 case design, and works awesome. For our serious photographers out there who are already wearing down the opening in their 16 cases, we hope you love this upgrade!
Any Plans For the Branding on the New OpenCase iPhone 17 Cases?
Almost two years ago, we were getting ready to launch OpenCase on Kickstarter. I was super nervous about not having enough branding on the case, so I went overboard. As you can see in some of the Kickstarter photos, there was branding on the back of the case, on the top of the wallet, on top of the PopHolder, as well as branding on the bottom sides of everything as well.
When we finally launched as a company, after a lot of discussion and suggestions from a lot of people (including many arguments with my wife), I was able to finally tone it down. In fact, with the iPhone 16 cases, I talked to our factory about moving the logo to the side of the case, but their equipment couldn't do it at the time.
With the OpenCase iPhone 17 cases, there was literally no room on the back to put any branding. In talks with the factory, I was super nervous to ask for getting the branding on the side of the case again, but it ended up not being tough to solve. Apparently they had upgraded some equipment and could place the logo along the side of the case now.
Thus, we now have this extremely subtle branding along the side of the case. It looks amazing, is out of the way, and even adds a bit of extra grip. We hope you love it! For all of you who have asked to reduce/remove the logo(s), this ones for you 😊
