Apple iPhone FineWoven Wallet with MagSafe and an OpenCase

Does the Apple iPhone Wallet with MagSafe Released with the iPhone 17 Series Fit?

A little bit ago, I received an email from a customer who let me know that Apple changed the size of their MagSafe wallet (thank you again for letting us know!). Starting with the introduction of the 17 series, the iPhone Wallet with MagSafe is nearly 2mm taller than their previous iterations while the width has remained the same. What does this mean for OpenCase? If you buy a brand new Apple MagSafe Wallet, it will not fit in our phone case's "open" space. If you have an older version of the wallet, it'll work just fine.
It's super sad for us, because I originally based the size of the "open" space in an OpenCase MagSafe Case on the outline of the Apple Wallet. And for the last 5 years, the size of their wallet remained exactly the same. We had no way of knowing that it wouldn't work.
Over the weekend, my wife and I met up with a friend and his girlfriend. And as we were chatting about OpenCase, I shared how challenging it is to design a product that's meant to complement another product that you don't have access to. He said, "Doesn't Apple share prototypes of the new phones with the phone case companies, so you can design exactly what's needed?" And we were like, "We see the final product when you do." I design a product for a product using my best judgment. And as far as we know, that's how it works with all the phone case companies, besides Apple (because well, they have access to their own product). I ended up telling him about the action button in the iPhone 15 to illustrate this point.
We know that customers, like you, enjoy OpenCase because you can improve your experience with MagSafe accessories, including those made by third parties. We love being a mostly flexible MagSafe system. Because of this change in the Apple MagSafe Wallet size, we decided we do a fully updated "Will It Fit" video with some of the most popular accessories released with the iPhone 17 series, including Apple, Anker, Casely, PopSocket, Moft and many more. Keep a look out for that in the coming week or two.
In the meantime, if you aren't buying accessories from us (which are guaranteed to fit), check the measurements of any third party MagSafe accessories to make sure they fit. Regardless of the iPhone series, the "open" space of an OpenCase MagSafe Case is exactly the same for every model (96mm tall x 65mm wide with 9mm rounded corners).
