In 2024, we launched our tiny, little phone case business, OpenCase. Our goals were simple: introduce a thinner, lighter iPhone case that stops sliding around and shearing off MagSafe accessories, a suite of compatible products, and see if they would resonate with folks, like yourselves. And I can say, you all have been amazingly supportive.
Between 2024 and 2025, we have doubled our business. And 2026 is already off to a promising start, despite the fact that the last new iPhone launched months ago. Our customers are the reason we are here, and we couldn't wait to share the news with you. Built on Product First, Always
From day one, I've been obsessive about the design and the details. It was during that launch for iPhone 12 and the introduction of MagSafe that I had a complete vision for the OpenCase MagSafe Case. Right after the Apple event ended, I called my patent attorney and we got rolling on the patents. And very shortly after that, I started making prototypes and testing them with friends.
A few years later, I was ready to do a Kickstarter for our phone case. It was really important to me to provide great products to our backers. So, I received mentorship from Tom Gerhardt, one half of the design team behind Studio Neat. He was helpful in thinking through each aspect of our product launch and successfully navigating manufacturing.
Over the last 2 years, my wife and I have built a strong relationship with our manufacturer. They are one of the best in the world. And it's not a surprise why. They have a similar philosophy to ours when it comes to partnership. They earned our trust, maintain excellent communication, absolutely follow-through, and deliver first-class results.

Growth brings new challenges, but we’ve been intentional about scaling the right way. To us, that means:

We’d rather grow a little slower than lose the standards that got us here. And we're really proud that we doubled our business while holding ourselves to those standards.
2026 Is Already Taking Shape
2026 has already started off with a bang. During the first week of January, our traffic to our website is up over 200% compared to this same time last year. And sales are over 250% higher than the same time last year. As we consider where we'd like to take OpenCase this year, it's definitely bright.
But even with this, we're still a start-up of two people and face the challenges that come with that. We're keeping a level head towards growth, so we can stay your phone case provider of choice, because let's face it, we like you!
